Rare text containing the first appearance of The Exeter Book in English. It is one of the four major Anglo-Saxon literature codices, and constitutes the largest known surviving collection of Old English literature.
This book is in good condition. Lacking the original spine, however the binding is still intact. Boards are moderately worn and stained, with old tape stains on the rear board. Previous owner's name (Sanford B. Meech) and date at the top of the front endpaper. Interior pages are clean and well preserved.
