This book is in good minus condition. Moderate wear and staining to the original cloth boards. Gift inscription on the half title page states "To Laurie from the Presidential Library". Evidence of bookplate removal on the front and rear endsheets and pastedowns. This is a well read and well loved copy.
It tells the story of a livestock pig named Wilbur and his friendship with a barn spider named Charlotte. When Wilbur is in danger of being slaughtered, Charlotte writes messages in her web praising him, such as "Some Pig", "Terrific", "Radiant", and "Humble", to persuade the farmer to let him live.
