New York & London: Macmillan and Co., 1904. Charles Brock. Early edition with the Charles Brock illustrations. This copy is a 1904 third printing of the Illustrated Pocket Classics originally published in 1902. Measures approximately 6.75" x 4.5", with 352 numbered pages.
This book is in very good minus condition. Minor surface wear and staining. Spine is sun-faded. Gilt lettering and titling on the front board and spine is still relatively bright and well preserved. Minor foxing or staining visible on the outside edges of the textblock. Front endpaper and second blank page have some creasing and paper damage. The interior pages are clean and well preserved.
"Pride and Prejudice" follows the character development of Elizabeth Bennet, who learns about the repercussions of hasty judgments and comes to appreciate the difference between superficial goodness and actual goodness.
