In its original matching ninth printing dust jacket. Measuring approximately 8" x 5", with 232 numbered pages. Despite the "W" on the copyright page, this is not a book club edition since there is no dot or circle on the lower rear board.
This book is in very good condition. Minor edge wear to the original cloth boards. Old bookseller stamp at the top of the front endpaper. The original dust jacket is also in very good condition. Minor chipping and creasing to the spine ends and corners. Price-clipped.
"To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee was instantly successful upon publication in 1960. The plot and characters are loosely based on Lee's observations of her family, her neighbors and an event that occurred near her hometown of Monroeville, Alabama in 1936 when she was 10.
