New York: Halsted & Voorhies; D. Appleton & Co., 1834. First Edition. Complete in two volumes. First editions and first printings - with 1834 on the title page of Volume I, and 1840 on Volume II. Measuring approximately 9.25" x 6", with 422 and 563 numbered pages respectively. Nicely bound in half leather by Stikeman & Co. These now scarce volumes - were nearly all burned while in the process of binding.
Both volumes are in very good condition. Moderate wear to the leather at the corners and spines. Previous owner's name and date (Charles F. Bates December 1898) in pencil on the first blank page of each volume. Interior pages are clean and well preserved.
