Measuring approximately 8.5" x 6" with 446 numbered pages. Signed and inscribed by the author Mario Puzo on the front endpaper: "For Burt + Sandra, Best Wishes Mario Puzo".
This book is in very good condition. Minor wear to the edges of the boards. Foxing to boards and the edges of the textblock. Minor sunfading to the spine. Previous owner's name on the front pastedown. Interior pages are otherwise clean and well preserved. Dust jacket is in very good minus condition. Moderate wear and creasing to the extremities. Price-clipped, but with the 6903 code on the bottom of the front flap to indicate a first issue jacket. Horizontal paper damage over the word 'Godfather' on the rear panel.
"The Godfather" is Puzo's third novel. Puzo takes us inside the violence infested society of the Mafia and its gang wars. Detailing the story of a fictional Mafia family in New York City, the novel covers the years 1945-1955 and includes the backstory of the Godfather from early childhood to adulthood.
