In its original matching ninth printing dust jacket. Measuring approximately 8" x 5", with 232 numbered pages. Despite the "W" on the copyright page, this is not a book club edition since there is no dot or circle on the lower rear board.

This book is in very good minus condition. Moderate foxing to the edges of the textblock. Birthday gift inscription on the front endpaper. Interior pages are otherwise clean. Dust jacket is in good minus condition. Heavy chipping and creasing to both ends of the spine and the edges of the panels. Original $3.95 price is present on the front flap.

"To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee was instantly successful upon publication in 1960. The plot and characters are loosely based on Lee's observations of her family, her neighbors and an event that occurred near her hometown of Monroeville, Alabama in 1936 when she was 10.
