Measuring approximately 9.5" x 6.25", with 166 and 261 numbered pages respectively.

This book is in good condition. Moderate to heavy surface wear to the leather spine and corner edges. Both hinges are cracked. Interior pages have moderate foxing. Interesting stamp on the front endpaper that reads "John Packer S. S. Dew Drop". The S. S. Dew Drop was used by the confederate army forces, making this a unique association copy. To quote the former president Abraham Lincoln regarding Mrs. Stowe: "So this is the little lady who made this big war".

"Uncle Tom's Cabin" is an anti-slavery novel by Harriet Beecher Stowe. This novel had a profound effect on attitudes towards African Americans and slavery.
