This book is in good minus condition. Moderate tearing to both ends of spin. Moderate sunning to spine. Gilt lettering on spine faded. Moderate staining to both boards. Rippling from possible water damage to rear board. Rear hinge is cracked. Previous owner's handwriting on front endpaper. Interior pages are clean.
It is related to a series referred to as the Marie Antoinette romances [fr], though technically not part of that series as the characters of Joseph Balsamo (also known as Cagliostro) and Doctor Gilbert do not appear in the novel, and many of the other series' protagonists have died by the start of this novel.
