This book is in good minus condition. Moderate bumping to both ends of spine. Moderate staining to spine and both boards. Previous owner's signature on front endpaper and dated "December 1893". Heavy foxing to front and rear pastedowns and endpapers. Minor foxing around the edges of interior pages.
The book is a frame narrative primarily depicting a fictional island society and its religious, social and political customs. Many aspects of More's description of Utopia are reminiscent of life in monasteries.
