"A Texas Steer, or Money Makes the Mare Go" is a political satire about a Texas cowboy who runs amuck in Washington D.C. The play was written by Charles Hale Hoyt, one of America's most successful and popular playwrights of his time. The play was later made into a movie comedy starring Will Rogers.
