This book is in good condition. Heavy wear and damage to the black cloth boards. Gilt labels worn with some paper loss, but with writing still legible. Previous ownership signature and original price on top of front endpaper. Possible second ownership signature on rear endpaper.
"In Our Time" is Hemingway's first collection of short stories. The stories themes of alienation, loss, grief, and separation, which include descriptions of acts of war, bullfighting, and current events. The collection is known for its spare language and oblique depiction of emotion, through a style known as Hemingway "theory of omission".
