Quite rare, one of very few known examples to contain all three first issue points (BAL 3429).Published by Charles L. Webster & Company, New York, 1889. Illustrated throughout with numerous black and white drawings. Measures 6.5" x 8.5", 575 pages, with an additional page of publisher's advertisements. The book is in good plus condition. The decorations and titling on the front board are vibrant and intact. Moderate wear and staining to the original cloth boards. Cloth worn through at the corners and spine ends. Both hinges badly cracked, rear hinge is just about detached. Previous owner's bookplate and inscription. Nonetheless, a great Twain rarity and thus quite collectible.
