New York: Cameron & Kahn, 1955. 1st Edition. Hardcover. "The Judgment of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg" by John Wexley. Signed Association Copy: "In Tribute To Mildred Olmsted for her great contribution to human advancement, Helen Sobell". Mildred Olmsted held leadership positions in the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom as well as the Pennsylvania chapter of the ACLU, which her husband, Judge Allen Seymour Olmsted, helped found. Helen Levitov Sobell petitioned, but was unable to save, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg from execution for espionage. Helen and her husband Morton Sobell were also accused of espionage, though Helen was never prosecuted. Her husband Morton was convicted and sentenced to thirty years. She fought to have his conviction overturned and even hosted the "Committee to Secure Justice for Morton Sobell" on May 15, 1956 at Carnegie Hall. There is a program from that event laid-in. This copy is a first edition, second printing, as stated on the copyright page. Published by Cameron & Kahn, New York, 1955. Measures 5.5" x 8.75", 672 pages including Index.
