Published in 1934 by the Cambridge University Press, with original dust jacket. Measures 6.25'' x 9.25'', 455 pages. The dust jacket is in good plus condition. Some shelf wear and chipping on the spine of the jacket. Slight toning and sunning throughout the jacket, along with a greenish discoloration on the flaps. There is a tear on the top left corner of the front panel. The lettering throughout the jacket is clean and legible. The book is in very good plus condition. Slight shelf wear, and slight bumping on the corners. Some fading at the edges of the boards and on the spine. The text is toned but clean, complete and legible. A previous owner left his signature and "London, 1951" on the front endpaper, along with some writing in pencil. The gilt lettering on the spine is clean and legible. The binding is sound. This book will be of interest to anybody interested in the history of religion, the Anglican Church specifically, or the United Kingdom. It would be an excellent addition to anybody's bookshelf.
