Illustrated throughout with comical drawings of popular bar phrases and toasts like "On the House", "Wetting your Whistle", and "Here's Looking at You".The book is in good plus condition. Wear and staining to the boards and spine, with a horizontal crease across the back cover, possible as a result of being in a bartender's pocket. Water stains to the rear paste-down. The hinges are cracked with the binding starting.The printing of this book predates the era of martinis, sidecars, and old fashioned's, and is filled with turn-of-the-century vintage cocktails. There are some classic cocktails in the mix including drinks like Tom Collins, whiskey sours, and highballs, as well as spiked punches and lemonades for parties and special occasions.
