A three volume set of works by Alexandre Dumas, "Marguerite de Valois" (1893), "The Regent's Daughter"(1893), and "Chauvelin's Will, A Romance of the Last Days of Louis XV, and Stories of the French Revolution, The Woman with the Velvet Necklace and Blanche de Beaulieu"(1897). First edition thus. Published by Little, Brown and Company, Boston. Illustrated with black and white frontispieces with their original tissueguards. The volumes measure 4.75" x 7.25".

The books are in very good minus antiquarian condition. Wear and rubbing to the covers and edges with bumped corners. Toning and wear to the spines. Foxing to the fore-edges of the textblocks, preliminary and terminal pages. Previous owner's bookplate on the front paste-downs on "Marguerite de Valois" and "The Regent's Daughter". "The Regent's Daughter" has significant scuffing to the top edge of the front board with a tear at the spine. The textblocks are largely clean and bright. The bindings are sound.
