First trade edition, second printing. The actual first printing was a signed edition, limited to just 345 copies.The second printing is considered the "first trade edition" because it was the printing available for purchase in book stores. Copyright page states "Second Printings, September, 1922". The title page states 1922 in Roman numerals on the bottom, and is the same as the one found in the first printings. Boards are brown cloth with orange titles and gilt design on the front. Top of pages has an orange top stain. The dust jacket is a 7th printing jacket as stated on the spine. The dust jacket is in very good overall condition with the only major flaw being a large piece of the rear panel missing at the bottom. Light chipping to the top of the spine. $2.50 price intact on the front flap. The book is in very good condition with light wear to the boards. Previous bookstore's sticker on rear paste-down.
